Though 14 NFL teams have finished their first preseason games by now, we're still one day away from the start of the preseason for the Green Bay Packers. As we prepare for our team's first game action in over 8 months, the various NFL blogs and Packers beat writers are doing the same.

Star players are clearly on everyone's minds this week, as guys like Aaron Rodgers, Clay Matthews, and Randall Cobb each have articles dedicated to them in today's curds. Unfortunately, we've also got bad news on Colt Lyerla for anyone who's still holding out hope of him making the opening week roster.
