Thursday is right around the corner with the NFL season kicking off in Seattle when the Green Bay Packers face the Seahawks. As part of our game coverage to get you prepared for the game, today we have information on player injuries for both teams in this week's injury report.
For the Packers, a trio of players are listed as Out for the game, starting with center JC Tretter (knee). Tight end Brandon Bostick (leg) out. Head coach Mike McCarthy noted Monday that if Bostick doesn't practice Wednesday, he would not play, and that was indeed the case today. Cornerback Demetri Goodson (concussion) attended practice on Monday, but he did not actually participate all week and he is out along with Tretter and Bostick. The other injured player, inside linebacker Brad Jones, is listed as Probable after practicing fully on Wednesday.
Probable
ILB Brad Jones
Out
TE Brandon Bostick
CB Demetri Goodson
C JC Tretter
During Monday and Tuesday practices for the Seahawks, 5 players did not participate: TE Cooper Helfet (knee), RB Christine Michael (hamstring), G Lemuel Jeanpierre (neck), CB Tharold Simon (knee) and LB Kevin Pierre-Louis (hamstring).
Rookie Kevin Norwood (ankle) was limited, while CB Jeremy Lane (groin) and LB Bruce Irvin (hip) were also for Seattle. Jeanpierre and Simon are two players to keep an eye on heading up to the game. Jeanpierre is the backup center on the Seahawks' offensive line, and if Simon were to be held out, it would leave their cornerback unit a bit thin. Irvin and Norwood missed the entire preseason and they're both hoping to make their 2014-15 debut's this week. The Seattle injury report has not yet been announced, however.
That's a quick summary of injuries for both teams. Stay up to date with everything on the Seahawks' injury report here. For everything Packers related, continue to stay with us here on APC.
