Cowboys-Packers Injury Report: Rodgers Probable, All Hands on Deck

It appears that all systems are go for the Packers, including their quarterback's calf.

Benny Sieu-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers' final injury report for their Divisional Playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys has been announced. To the continued amazement of Packers fans everywhere, only five names are listed and no player is listed as lower than Probable on the report.

Obviously, the biggest name on the Packers' injury report is their starting quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, who was limited in practice on Thursday. He is listed as Probable this week, as part of a foursome of key players with that designation. Here's the Packers' full report:

Probable

DE Josh Boyd (knee)
CB Davon House (shoulder)
QB Aaron Rodgers (calf)
G Josh Sitton (toe)

Questionable

S Sean Richardson (knee)

Tight end Brandon Bostick, who did not practice on Wednesday due to an illness but was a full participant on Thursday, was nowhere to be found on the report and appears ready to play on Sunday.

Regarding Rodgers' status, Mike McCarthy addressed a few topics relating to Rodgers' injury and the team's gameplan for Sunday. First he discussed the weather conditions, but the temperature doesn't appear to be a concern of his:

As for any concern about the gameplan with a banged-up Rodgers, McCarthy does not seem worried about his quarterback's mobility affecting the team's execution:

Cowboys Injury Report

For Dallas, they have a noticeably longer report than the Packers do, and it therefore has more starters listed. Of the players listed as questionable or below, three did not practice all week, while a pair returned from concussion protocols and practiced fully on Friday. Here's the report for Dallas:

Probable

OLB Bruce Carter (knee)
TE James Hanan (knee)
G Zack Martin (ankle)
RB DeMarco Murray (hand)
QB Tony Romo (back)
DT Nick Hayden (shoulder)
SS Jeff Heath (thumb)

Questionable

OLB Anthony Hitchens (ankle) - note: did not practice at all this week.
MLB Rolando McClain (knee/concussion) - note: practiced fully on Friday.
DT Terrell McClain (ankle) - note: did not practice at all this week.
DE Jeremy Mincey (concussion) - note: practiced fully on Friday.

Doubtful

RT Doug Free (ankle) - note: did not practice at all this week.

If Free is out, that would likely elevate backup Jermey Parnell to the starting right tackle spot. Facing Julius Peppers at outside linebacker is hardly an ideal for a backup lineman, especially one who has started just eight games in his five-year NFL career. That said, six of those games were this season, including the last three, and Cowboys line coach Bill Callahan gave Parnell a vote of confidence, saying that "he could start for any other team at right tackle."
