Two of the NFC's more disappointing teams take the field tonight on Thursday Night Football as the weekly early game features a pair of NFC West teams for the first time this season. Both the Seahawks and 49ers come in with matching 2-4 records, despite one being in the Super Bowl a year ago.
Another similarity that these teams share is that they have lost to the Green Bay Packers early on in the 2015 season. Seattle lost in Green Bay 27-17, while the 49ers fell on their home turf 17-3.
One year ago, these two teams met just two weeks apart, in weeks 13 and 15 of the 2014 season. In a bit of a coincidence, this is the second straight year that the two teams play their game at the 49ers' home stadium on a Thursday night. Last year's contest was the third and final game on Thanksgiving. Both 2014 games were quite similar from the final score line - Seattle won on the road 19-3 before emerging victorious at home two weeks later by a score of 17-7.
