On Wednesday afternoon, the Green Bay Packers practiced for the second time this week, but this is the first practice that gets a formal injury report. Unfortunately, the results on Wednesday were much the same as they were in Monday's padded practice for two Packers - Ty Montgomery and James Starks both sat out with the injuries they suffered in the week six contest against the Chargers.
As Mike McCarthy alluded to earlier today, we finally have our first idea of what Starks' injury is - the report lists it as a hip issue. Montgomery's injury is to his ankle, which ended his day early two Sundays ago.
While a few other starters are working their way back from injuries, several key names were still listed as limited today as well. However, the other bit of good news for the Packers is a pair of names that are not present on the report. Both Randall Cobb and James Jones are absent entirely, suggesting that their shoulder and hamstring injuries are healed up, at least to the point where it will not affect their status for the upcoming game with the Broncos.
