Packers-Lions Injury Report: Ty Montgomery Doubtful, Eddie Lacy Questionable

While Green Bay has a long report, only two players appear in danger of missing the game. Detroit, however, will be without one starter in the secondary and might be without their best playmaker on Sunday.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers announced their longest injury report of the year on Friday in advance of Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions, but the final report on Friday (and subsequent updates on Saturday) signify that the team should still have nearly its full roster available at game time.

The defensive backfield and offensive lines are two units that should be at full strength for week 10. Six of the Packers' top seven defensive backs (including their top six cornerbacks) showed up on the report, but all are listed as Probable. Likewise, three starters on the offensive line appeared as Probable as well and are expected to play.

In fact, only two of the 15 players listed have statuses worse than Probable, both of which are on offense. Running back Eddie Lacy is questionable with the groin injury he suffered last week while Ty Montgomery is Doubtful and looks likely to miss his third straight game.

The Lions, on the other hand, have a much shorter report overall but have more critical players showing up on it. They have ruled veteran starting cornerback Rashean Mathis out with a concussion. Mathis' situation is bizarre, as he suffered his injury back in week seven but was not officially designated with a concussion until this week. At this point he is in the concussion protocol and did not practice at all this week.

Also appearing on the report is All-Pro receiver Calvin Johnson. He was limited with an ankle injury early in the week, but did not practice at all on Friday, putting his availability in question for Sunday.
