The Green Bay Packers continue to describe their backfield as a one-two punch, but one of the key ingredients won't play Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
The team listed former starting running back Eddie Lacy as inactive, his first deactivation of the season. Head coach Mike McCarthy announced earlier this week that James Starks had earned the opportunity to work as the lead back, and that indeed appears to be the case. The only other tailback active for Sunday is rookie Alonzo Harris.
At cornerback, both Sam Shields and Quinten Rollins return after missing last week's game with a pair of injuries. Shields could spend much of his day covering Detroit's Calvin Johnson while Rollins provides valuable depth at the position in case of injury.
As for the Lions, the aforementioned Johnson has overcome an ankle injury to play in Green Bay. Their inactive list contains the names of backups, including former Packers defensive lineman Khyri Thornton.
