Packers-Vikings Inactives: Montgomery out, Randall will play for Green Bay

New, comments

Green Bay's best rookie will play today, but their third-round pick won't be available.

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

This week's Green Bay Packers active roster will once again be short on wide receivers. Unfortunately for the Packers, rookie wideout Ty Montgomery is inactive today and will miss his fourth straight game with an ankle sprain. Joining him on the inactive list is second-year receiver Jared Abbrederis, who is out multiple weeks with rib injuries.

Thankfully for the Packers, first-round pick Damarious Randall is active. Randall landed on the injury report after Saturday's practice with a hamstring issue, but that is apparently not serious enough to keep him out of the game. As a result, fellow rookie corner LaDarius Gunter is inactive. Randall's availability means that the Packers will have their full group of players in the secondary, as safeties Morgan Burnett and Micah Hyde are both active as well.

Here's the full list:

Packers Inactives

WR Jared Abbrederis
CB LaDarius Gunter
RB Alonzo Harris
QB Brett Hundley
WR Ty Montgomery
OLB Andy Mulumba
G Lane Taylor

The Vikings, on the other hand, will be missing none of their key players today. Though several players were listed on their injury report, most were classified as Probable and will suit up today. Here's their list:

Vikings Inactives

C Nick Easton
DT Kenrick Ellis
QB Taylor Heinicke
LB Edmond Robinson
CB Josh Robinson
OT Jeremiah Sirles
DE Justin Trattou
