Packers-Cardinals Inactives: Bakhtiari out, Barclay to start in Week 16 game

It's now official - Green Bay will be down a pair of starters today due to injury.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Later this afternoon, the Green Bay Packers will take on the Arizona Cardinals in a matchup of playoff-bound NFC teams. Unfortunately for the Packers, they will do so without two key components of their starting lineup.

On Saturday, the team ruled corner back Sam Shields out for today's game while downgrading left tackle David Bakhtiari from questionable to doubtful. Today, both players showed up on the team's inactive list and will not suit up due to their injuries.

Joining them as inactives are linebackers Jayrone Elliott and Andy Mulumba, tight end Justin Perillo, quarterback Brett Hundley, and tight end Kennard Backman.

Due to Bakhtiari's absence, Don Barclay will be in the starting lineup to protect Aaron Rodgers' blind side.

For the Cardinals, they will be down starting safety Rashad Johnson, who is inactive as well. The other six players on Arizona's inactive list are reserves.

Tune in for the game with APC later this afternoon.
