Packers vs. Lions injury report: Lang and Bulaga sitting out Thursday night

New, comments

The entire right side of the ' offensive line is missing.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers might reverse their fortunes Thursday night against the Detroit Lions, but they must do so without the right side of their starting offensive line.

The team declared both T.J. Lang and Bryan Bulaga inactive in their final injury report. Lang spent the week battling a shoulder issue while Bulaga tried to come back from an ankle injury, though neither made enough recovery to play Thursday. Backups Lane Taylor and Don Barclay will start in their respective places, with Josh Walker and JC Tretter likely taking on the primary reserve roles.

Elsewhere, the Packers must make do without one of its top receivers. Ty Montgomery will not play with an ankle issue.

As reported earlier, Jake Ryan will start at inside linebacker in place of Nate Palmer, who the team benched. Palmer did appear on the injury report earlier in the week with foot trouble, but this appears to be a coaching decision, not a medical one.

Here are the complete injury reports for both teams:

Green Bay Packers

  • OT Bryan Bulaga
  • QB Brett Hundley
  • G T.J. Lang
  • WR Ty Montgomery
  • LB Andy Mulumba
  • CB Damarious Randall
  • FB Aaron Ripkowski

Detroit Lions

  • CB Bill Bentley
  • DT Jermelle Cudjo
  • WR Lance Moore
  • OT Corey Robinson
  • C Travis Swanson
  • DT Gabe Wright
  • DT Tim Wright
