Former Green Bay Packers general manager Ron Wolf was announced as a 2015 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee this past Saturday. Now the team must make preparations for his induction as well. That includes picking a date for Wolf to receive his Hall of Fame ring. Jeff Ash of the Green Bay Press Gazette suggests that the right time may be the Packers' 2015 game road game against the Oakland Raiders.
Before turning Green Bay from the league's doormat into a Super Bowl champion, Wolf was part of the Oakland Raiders front office. During his time with the Raiders, Wolf helped construct the rosters that would win Super Bowl XI and XVIII. In particular, he was integral in the selections of Hall of Famers Gene Upshaw, Art Shell, Howie Long and Marcus Allen.
The exact date when the Packers and Raiders play won't be announced until the summer, but the date makes perfect sense. Both teams can celebrate the career of one of the greatest team builders in NFL history.
