Cheese Curds: Green Bay Packers News and Links for April 30, 2015

Our final batch of curds before the Draft is a big one, filled with mock drafts, trade rumors, and general silliness.

We are officially under 12 hours to go before the start of the 2015 NFL Draft. Over the past day, draftniks all over are releasing their final mock drafts, and NFL Network's Mike Mayock is one of them. There seems to have been a sudden shift in those projections over the past few days, as one player in particular has popped up for the Packers in almost every mock that has been published this week.

Of course, with such a sudden rush to one player, the average fan might think that it's all misinformation and that the Packers are ultimately targeting someone else.

I would agree with that average fan on this one.

Go click, read, and absorb what we have for you in today's curds, and join us tonight for the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, starting at 7 PM Central.

One of the predictions here is that somebody takes Baylor QB Bryce Petty before the first round is finished on Thursday.

Trading down from No. 30 could be on Ted Thompson's mind | JSOnline
Well, it's always on Ted's mind. But the Packers could be an ideal move spot if a team looks to sneak into the back of round one to draft Bryce Petty.

Brandon Boykin, Mychal Kendricks on trading block - NFL.com
This jives with our discussion of the elder Kendricks from last week. Boykin being available is more of a surprise, as he is one of the best slot corners in the NFL.

Ted actually has picked more Pro Bowlers in round two than round one (though he has made more second-round picks than firsts).

Just like the real thing — only way, way more dumb (if that's even possible).
