Packers vs. Steelers, Preseason Week 2: Game thread

Though it isn't the Green Bay Packers' first preseason game, today's tilt with the Pittsburgh Steelers is the first taste of Sunday football. Fans shouldn't expect a particularly long run for either team's starters, but they may play longer than they did Week 1 of the preseason.

As has been clear for some time, the Packers won't have left tackle David Bakhtiari protecting Aaron Rodgers' blindside. Fourth-year utility lineman Don Barclay has moved over to fill Bakhtiari's void. On defense, linebacker Clay Matthews remains inactive as a precaution, though there's no reason at this time to suspect he wouldn't play if Sunday's game counted.

Today's game will be the last the Packers play away from Lambeau Field for the remainder of the preseason. After this, the team returns to Green Bay for matchups against the Philadelphia Eagles (August 29 at 12 p.m. CT) and the New Orleans Saints (September 3 at 6 p.m.).
