Week 2 NFL Picks: Packers will avenge loss to Seahawks, Chiefs beat Broncos

New, comments

It's not unanimous, but a comfortable majority of APC's writers are predicting a win this Sunday night.

It's been a long time since the Seahawks played at Lambeau Field - six years, to be exact.

In week two, the Green Bay Packers get to stay home, as they play the Seattle Seahawks for the third time in the past 20 games (regular season and playoffs). However, this is the first time that Green Bay draws the Seahawks at home since the 2009 season, when the Packers won by a score of 48-10.

Will home-field advantage be one of the critical pieces for the Packers in defeating Seattle this week? Check out our picks below, which include a rather surprising set of picks for the Thursday Night game this week between AFC West rivals. Suffice it to say that APC is fully bought-in to the idea of Peyton Manning's arm strength being a major problem.

Here are our picks for this week:

There you have it - it's a strong majority of us that is picking the Packers to move to 2-0 with a win over the Seahawks. I can't speak to everyone else's picks, but for me the biggest key is the continued holdout of Kam Chancellor. Without him, the Seahawks secondary is far more vulnerable. Meanwhile, Seattle's offensive line looked like a sieve last week, and that should give Dom Capers plenty of confidence in his front seven to rush Russell Wilson.

Here are the records for our picks after one week of the season:

12-4: Matt
11-5: Tex, Adam, VCF, Consensus picks
10-6: Jason, Aron, Kris
9-7: Brendan
8-8: Paul
