Packers Injury Report: Lacy, Adams, Burnett all questionable against Chiefs in week 3

The Packers could be without several starters and a number of key reserves on Monday night, as eight players are listed as Questionable or Out for week 3.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers are significantly banged up as they approach Monday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. After two weeks, the Packers have one starter out for an extended period, but three or four others (depending on how you define the starters) are questionable for week three.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, have eight players on their injury report, but all eight are listed as Probable. It should be interesting to watch how the Packers game-plan around their injuries to stay effective on all sides of the ball.

Here's the Packers' injury report:

Probable

WR Randall Cobb (shoulder)

Questionable

WR Davante Adams (ankle)
S Morgan Burnett (calf)
RB Eddie Lacy (ankle)
OLB Mike Neal (groin)
S Sean Richardson (ankle)
FB Aaron Ripkowski (shoulder)

Out

OT Bryan Bulaga (knee)
CB Demetri Goodson (hamstring)

Of course, Bulaga, Lacy, and Adams' injuries are well-documented, and Cobb has put up two straight nice games while playing through his shoulder issues. However, there are a few new surprises here. Burnett left Friday's practice mid-way through after re-aggravating the calf injury that kept him out of the week one game against the Bears.

Unfortunately, one of Burnett's primary backups at strong safety is Richardson, who is a surprise addition after practicing fully all week. He was listed as "did not participate" on Saturday's injury report, and while the Packers do not practice two days before gameday, that's a discouraging sign for the depth in the secondary. Ripkowski is in a similar situation, having practiced all week until being listed on Saturday's report. If both Richardson and Ripkowski are out, that would deplete not only the depth at their primary positions, but would force some realignment on special teams, where both are key contributors.

The Chiefs, as mentioned above, have eight players listed as Probable, and all eight practiced fully all week. Here's their list:

Probable

OL Jeff Allen
OT Eric Fisher
TE Demetrius Harris
ILB Josh Mauga
OT Donald Stephenson
WR De'Anthony Thomas
RB Charcandrick West
WR Albert Wilson
