Green Bay's third pick of 2016 is a big outside linebacker.

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

On the clock with the 25th selection in round three of the 2016 NFL Draft (the 88th overall pick), the Green Bay Packers have made their third selection:

Kyler Fackrell

Outside Linebacker
Utah State

Height: 6'5"
Weight: 245 pounds

40-yard dash: 4.72 seconds
10-yard split: 1.61 seconds
Bench: 15 reps
Vertical: 34.5"
Broad jump: 10'1"

Fackrell brings a large, physical, athletic specimen to the Packers' pass-rushing group. He was named first-team All-Mountain West in 2015, when he recorded 82 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and five sacks. He nearly matched those numbers as a sophomore in 2013, with the same number of tackles and sacks and 13 tackles for loss. He also returned an interception 99 yards that season.

Fackrell will turn 25 on November 25, making him one of the older Packers' draft picks in recent memory. He is almost four years older than the team's first-round pick, Kenny Clark, who is currently 20 years old.

This pick bolsters the team's group of pass-rushers, which needs some an infusion of talent in the long term. Most of the team's outside linebackers' contracts expire after this season; all of Julius Peppers, Nick Perry, Jayrone Elliott, and Lerentee McCray will be free agents next spring, with only Clay Matthews remaining under contract.
