2016 NFL Combine: Results and 40 times from Quarterbacks' workouts

New, comments

The signal-callers are on the field working out today - follow along with the results here.

It is Saturday at the NFL Scouting Combine, and this year that means that the star players on offense are taking the field for workouts. First up are the quarterbacks, who are running their 40-yard dashes and going through all of their individual drills early on this morning.

Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, and Paxton Lynch are the top three names at the position this year, and will be looking to post impressive times in the workouts.

Although the Green Bay Packers in theory do not need a quarterback, Scott Tolzien will be a free agent and Mike McCarthy's comments from earlier this week suggest that the team does not expect him to return in 2016. That would leave the Packers with just two quarterbacks on the roster - Aaron Rodgers and Brett Hundley. There is virtually zero chance that the team would enter OTAs without a third quarterback, so it seems plausible that they would be looking at the players working out today with the intent of bringing one in to compete for a practice squad spot.

Stay tuned for the results of the workouts below, and keep an eye out for wide receiver and tight end workouts later on as well.
