The Green Bay Packers made a crucial medical decision this afternoon after the initial walkthrough for their Wild Card game in Washington. The big news on today's inactive list is that left tackle David Bakhtiari is once again inactive and will not play for the Packers today.
Bakhtiari had missed the final two games of the regular season with an ankle injury, and his backup plans over those two weeks have been disastrous. Don Barclay was beaten repeatedly by Arizona's pass rush, while Josh Sitton gave up multiple sacks a week ago in his first professional game at the position. Green Bay plans to start JC Tretter in Bakhtiari's place.
Aside from the Bakhtiari news, Sam Shields is inactive, as he was ruled out on Saturday. Also inactive for the Packers are a group of the usual reserve suspects, as there were no surprises.
