Acme Packing Company aims to provide our readers with the best Green Bay Packers coverage and community on the internet, and to do that we need your help. As 2016 begins, we are looking to expand our writer base by adding some talented and passionate Packers fans to our staff so we can continue to improve the experience and content here at APC.
What are we looking for?
Specifically, we are looking for a handful of new team members to help us cover a variety of topics, including the following:
- NFL Draft analysis and scouting reports
- Fantasy football analysis
- Breaking news and press conference coverage
- Gameday and training camp news
We also are interested in people familiar with the APC community to help drive discussion and assist in moderating the comments section.
Ultimately, though, the biggest requirement is that you must be passionate about the Green Bay Packers and want to communicate that passion with others. If you believe you would be a good fit for one of the roles above or even think that you would make a good addition in some other way, please consider applying.
How can you apply?
If you are interested in joining the APC team, please email Tex at acmepackingco (at) gmail (dot) com to introduce yourself. Please provide the following information:
Name
Preferred email address
SB Nation username
Ideal role/types of articles you would like to write
Available to assist with breaking news?
At least two writing samples (links or attachments)
A few sentences about your Packers fandom and why you want to write for APC
If you do not have writing experience, we encourage you to check out the FanPost section of APC and put that to use as a testing ground for your writing.
What do we expect of you?
As a writer at APC, you will be expected to be a regular contributor in your role. What that means exactly can change from person to person, but we expect a certain level of commitment and communication from our authors. Therefore, we expect our writers to meet deadlines, have an excellent journalistic standard, and regularly communicate with our editors and other authors.
Ultimately, we all do what we do here at APC because we love the Packers and love talking about, discussing, analyzing, and celebrating them. We're looking for people who feel the same way to join us and help continue to improve our coverage and analysis. We hope to hear from you soon!
