Mike McCarthy pulls out of Pro Bowl with illness

Another member of the Green Bay Packers has pulled out of the 2016 Pro Bowl. According to a team press release, head coach Mike McCarthy did not travel to Hawaii for the game due to a stomach illness.

The NFL selected McCarthy and his staff to coach one of the teams in this weekend's Pro Bowl after the Packers lost to the Arizona Cardinals in the Divisional Round. With McCarthy's illness preventing his participation, Green Bay assistant head coach Winston Moss has assumed head-coaching responsibilities for the game.

McCarthy becomes the second member of Green Bay to miss the game. Earlier this week, quarterback Aaron Rodgers announced his plans to skip the game due to an undisclosed injury. The team still has linebackers Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers, guard Josh Sitton and fullback John Kuhn partaking in the activities.

The league has scheduled the 2016 Pro Bowl draft for Wednesday evening.
