This afternoon, the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys square off in an early-season NFC battle that could have playoff implications down the road. The big matchup in today's game involves the Cowboys' running game; rookie back Ezekiel Elliott leads the NFL with 546 rushing yards this season, making him the only player to average more than 100 yards per game on the ground. Meanwhile, the Packers' run defense has allowed no more than 50 yards in any game all season long.
On the other side of the football, Green Bay will look for continued improvement from its offense, which looked impressive at times against the New York Giants but also had some periods of stagnation. Aaron Rodgers will surely look to improve upon his league-worst completion percentage, and with the Cowboys missing Orlando Scandrick, he should have some more opportunities to do so.
