This week, the Green Bay Packers get another tough test from an NFC foe as they travel south to face an explosive Falcons offense. Atlanta leads the NFL in points scored and yards gained, and their 6.8 yards-per-play average is over a half-yard better than the next closest team in the league.
Leading the way for the Falcons is wideout Julio Jones, who has been the best receiver in the NFL this season. Jones leads the league with 830 receiving yards, and his 20.8 yards per reception is third among all qualifying players. With the Packers expected to have Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins out for yet another game, defending Jones becomes an even bigger challenge than it would normally be.
The good news for Packers fans around the United States is that Sunday’s game is the national game of the week on FOX, thanks to the NFL’s decision to flex the game into the afternoon slot in place of Cardinals-Panthers. The only US market that will not get the game on local television is the Broncos’ home area, as Denver hosts a game at the same time on CBS.
Here is your Game Primer with all the details you need to get ready for this weekend’s contest.
