Well, Friday’s injury report is here for the Week 8 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Atlanta Falcons. Despite the Packers having a significantly longer layoff between games, they have the significantly longer injury report this week, though that is due in part to several serious injuries to players who remain on the active roster.
The Falcons landed just two players on their report this week - a key member of their running back committee is out, while a veteran situational pass-rusher is uncertain of his status for Sunday.
The Packers, on the other hand, are sure of one thing: their starting cornerbacks for Sunday. LaDarius Gunter and Demetri Goodson will indeed get the call against Julio Jones and company, as both Quinten Rollins and Damarious Randall were ruled out today. However, the offense is suddenly somewhat in question as a pair of top playmakers - including the player who was the de facto number one running back last week, Ty Montgomery - landed with Questionable designations, along with a starting offensive lineman.
Finally, we will not know about linebacker Clay Matthews’ status for Sunday’s game until later this weekend - he was also listed as Questionable thanks to the hamstring injury that has hampered him this week.
Check out the full report below and keep an eye out for more updates from Saturday’s practice as well as the inactives report about 90 minutes prior to game time on Sunday.
