How many times have you gone to a local restaurant wanting a nice relaxing evening with some chicken wings, beer, and maybe some football or baseball on TV?
That’s all Green Bay Packers tight end Jared Cook wanted when he visited a Buffalo Wild Wings this week. Instead, he got something that he didn’t bargain for when his lemon pepper-seasoned “wings” showed up.
Now, any wing connoisseur knows that there are two parts of the bird that go into a batch of buffalo wings: drums and flats. Apparently, QC at Buffalo Wild Wings forgot about that, and let a third body part through: the head.
Now Jared is going to have nightmares about that fried beak staring him in the face for weeks while he continues to rehab from his ankle injury. Hopefully he won’t be too emotionally scarred to return to the football field when he is back at full strength.
UPDATE: Buffalo Wild WIngs’ PR agency, FleishmanHillard, sent APC the following statement:
Buffalo Wild Wings takes food preparation, service and quality extremely seriously and we are looking into this situation. We’ve reached out to Jared Cook and our suppliers for more information.
