With six minutes left in the second quarter of Sunday Night’s game against the Giants, the Green Bay Packers found the end zone for the second time in the game. The Packers carried out a five-play, 80-yard drive, spurred on by a pair of big runs by Eddie Lacy on the first two plays of the series - one for 31 yards and another for six.
After a five-yard run by James Starks and a nine-yard pickup by Davante Adams, Aaron Rodgers lofted a picture-perfect pass down the right sideline to Adams. The Packers receiver made an easy catch, then tiptoed up the sideline and extended the football over the plane of the goal line and inside the pylon for a touchdown. The 29-yard score was Adams’ second touchdown of the season, and he now leads the Packers in receiving today with 55 yards and that one touchdown on three receptions.
Aaron Rodgers’ stat line for the evening now sits at 11 completions on 20 attempts for 123 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
