A vastly disappointing season for the Green Bay Packers has negatively affected their place in the SB Nation power rankings, but not quite to the degree it has this week. In the Week 12 edition, the one-time Super Bowl frontrunner has fallen to its lowest point of the season, No. 26.
A loss to a middling AFC South opponent would harm any team's perception, but the Packers have managed to make that mistake twice in as many weeks. Both of the squads they lost to -- the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans -- also occupy territory in the 20 range of this week's power rankings, amplifying the magnitude of the indictment.
The rest of the NFC North didn't fair much better. The Minnesota Vikings hold the top position among those in the division (17th) with the idle Detroit Lions remaining just a few spots behind them. The Chicago Bears still bring up the rear, coming in ahead of only the Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Elsewhere on the internet, the Packers landed in similar territory. Sports Illustrated has them the lowest at No. 26 while ESPN and NFL.com places them at Nos. 22 and 21 respectively. Only CBS Sports maintains anything approximating faith in Green Bay, dropping the team's ranking only to 17th.
