In order to upset the Seattle Seahawks, the Green Bay Packers need all the help they can get. They received their first big break, as right guard T.J. Lang returns from a foot injury that cost him multiple games.
Lang has dealt with multiple injuries this year. Prior to breaking his foot, the veteran offensive lineman dealt with a hip injury that significantly reduced his practice time. He returns to the starting lineup after rookie Jason Spriggs (and previously Don Barclay) served as fill-ins.
At the same time, starting inside linebacker Blake Martinez did not make enough progress with his MCL sprain to return to the lineup. Joe Thomas will continue to work in his stead. Jake Ryan should once again handle the defensive communications.
As for the Seahawks, they will play without Garry Gilliam, one of the team's starting tackles for most of the season. Likewise, versatile rookie running back C.J. Prosise sits again with his fractured scapula.
Below are the full inactives for both teams.
