Packers-Bears Inactives: Aaron Rodgers is active, but Callahan will suit up just in case

Good news, everyone! The Green Bay Packers will have the services of All-Pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers in their game today against the Chicago Bears. Rodgers is suiting up for the game and will start despite the right calf injury that he suffered in last week’s win over the Seattle Seahawks.

However, the Packers’ coaching staff are taking no chances with their roster in case Rodgers’ leg flares up under the brutal weather conditions. After adding QB Joe Callahan to the active roster from the practice squad on Saturday, Callahan will also suit up as the third-string quarterback behind Rodgers and backup Brett Hundley.

At running back, the Packers will have two players active - Ty Montgomery and Christine Michael, whose status was in doubt earlier in the week due to an illness. Montgomery will start, as James Starks is inactive with a concussion he suffered in a car crash earlier this week.

Meanwhile, the Bears will be without their nose tackle today, as Eddie Goldman sits due to an ankle injury. He had not practiced all week, but was listed as questionable on Friday. They also will not have the services of a pair of injured defensive backs in Johnthan Banks and Bryce Callahan.

Here are the full inactive lists for both teams.
