Vikings-Packers Week 16 Injury Report: Adrian Peterson out, Nick Perry questionable

The Packers could get a key defender back on Christmas Eve, but Minnesota won't have their top running back.

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

On Saturday, the Green Bay Packers host the Minnesota Vikings in an NFC North battle on Christmas Eve. However, neither team will be entirely at full strength for the game.

The Packers will be without a pair of players for sure, as linebacker Jayrone Elliott and running back James Starks will sit for the game. Green Bay has four other players listed as questionable for the contest, all four of whom are starters. Included in that group is Nick Perry, who has sat out a few weeks with a hand injury. However, he has practiced (in a limited fashion) all week, so he may indeed play on Saturday.

The Vikings will not have the services of three offensive starters, however. Running back Adrian Peterson returned from injured reserve last week, but a groin injury combined with his recovery from a torn meniscus will keep him out this week. Joining him on the inactive list will be guard Brandon Fusco and fullback Zach Line.

Here are the full reports for both teams.
