Packers’ 2017 Schedule: Green Bay’s opponents for next season

The Packers’ final two opponents for next year will be decided in week 17, but we know who those games could be against.

New Orleans Saints v Green Bay Packers

All but two of the Green Bay Packers’ opponents and venues for the 2017 NFL regular season are known. The Packers will have the opportunity to decide those final two opponents in the last game of the 2016 regular season, as they play the Detroit Lions with the NFC North title on the line.

The Packers play their usual pair of games against their NFC North opponents - one at home and one on the road. Then they will square off against the teams in the NFC South and AFC North divisions.

The Packers last played the NFC South in its entirety in 2014. Green Bay went 3-1 against the South that year, with their only loss coming to the Saints in New Orleans. They most recently played the AFC North in 2013, going 2-2 with losses coming to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lambeau Field and the Bengals in Cincinnati.

If the Packers win on Sunday, they will play the division champions from the NFC West and NFC East. That would bring the Seattle Seahawks to Lambeau Field for a third straight year, while the Packers would travel to play the Dallas Cowboys. Should Detroit win, Green Bay instead draws games against the second-place teams in those divisions, which would mean a home game against the Cardinals and a road date at the Giants.

Here is the schedule of opponents for the Packers for next season.

  • Detroit Lions
  • Minnesota Vikings
  • New Orleans Saints (NFC South)
