2016 Week 17 NFL Picks: Packers win the NFC North title and get the 4th seed

Two divisions have yet to be decided in the NFL, but the Packers can lock up one of them with a win on Sunday night.

Two divisions remain up for grabs across the NFL this weekend, but only one of them features the two teams in contention playing for the title on the final day of the 2016 regular season. That is of course the NFC North, as the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions are tied at 9-6 going into Sunday night’s contest.

The other division still to be decided is the AFC West, where the Chiefs and Raiders are still in contention. The winner of the division will earn the 2nd seed in the AFC, but the Raiders can clinch that first round bye with a win over the Broncos in Denver this week.

If the Consensus results that we predicted hold, that would leave the Packers with the 4th seed in the NFC, behind the Cowboys, Falcons, and Seahawks. Green Bay would host the New York Giants in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, with the Lions sneaking in as the 6th seed thanks to Washington’s loss.

In the AFC, a Chiefs win plus a Raiders loss would give Kansas City the West division title and the 2 seed in the AFC. Houston would win the South to earn the 4 seed, while Oakland lands at the 5 with a 12-4 record and Miami gets in at 10-6.
