The NFL has released the full schedule for the regular season, including the 16 dates for the Green Bay Packers. The team kicks off its season against the Jacksonville Jaguars and has a Week 4 bye for 2016.
Though the Packers have known their 2016 opponents since the final week of the 2015 regular season, the timing of the matchups and, perhaps most importantly, the date of their bye week could have a significant impact on how 2016 unfolds.
As one of the league's most popular teams, the Packers appear five times in prime time this season. Their first such matchup comes on Sept. 18 against the Minnesota Vikings, the regular season debut of U.S. Bank Stadium. Every team must play in at least one Thursday night game. This year, the Packers play the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football on Oct. 20, during which both teams plan to wear their "color rush" uniforms for the first time.
As has become customary, the NFL scheduled divisional opponents for the final week of the season. This year, the Packers take on their NFC North rivals, the Detroit Lions, in Week 17. Green Bay played Detroit during the season finale in 2014 as well.
