After missing the entire 2015 season with a torn ACL, Jordy Nelson's activity this offseason has become one of the top storylines to follow for the Green Bay Packers. Less than eight months removed from his injury, Nelson "was able to do everything" during the Monday's offseason workout, per a report from ESPN's Rob Demovsky.
Throughout the offseason, the Packers have maintained that Nelson had moved ahead of schedule in his recovery. The fact that he has already begun running routes suggests that the team hasn't misled the public on the wideout's progress. While that doesn't mean Nelson has made it to the home stretch in his rehab, all the signs so far look positive that the 2014 second-team All-Pro receiver could return to form before the start of the upcoming regular season.
The Packers certainly missed Nelson during his year on the sidelines. The team finished outside the top 10 in points for the first time since 2006 and broke a decades-long streak of ranking among the top half of the league in passing. If recovered, Nelson should help rectify those issues, as he averaged approximately 75 catches for 1210 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns over his last four healthy seasons.
