Every NFL team hopes and believes that they will get an impact player with their first-round pick in the NFL Draft. Well, every team that has a first-round pick, that is. But whether your favorite franchise drafts first overall or thirty-first, impact players can be found at all levels.

At the 27th pick, where the Green Bay Packers sit this year, there has been an impressive run of players chosen over the past 20 years or so, probably more impressive than one would expect for such a late first-round slot. Then again, Ted Thompson has had success in past classes even drafting later than 27.

The former Badgers walk-on is part of the team's Tailgate Tour this summer, but he certainly needs to continue to improve this offseason and perhaps find ways to contribute on special teams as well if he wants to earn playing time - or even keep his roster spot.

Could J.J. Watt retire from NFL early? -
It seems that Watt could be one of those players who retires while he still has a lot to offer the league, but NFL fans shouldn't worry about him calling it quits just yet - he's still got six years left on his massive contract.

The NFL isn't worried about likely No. 1 pick Laremy Tunsil's NCAA run-in -
According to SB Nation's NFL sources, teams take a drastically different attitude towards non-violent and non-criminal issues that result in NCAA sanctions or suspensions than they do towards actual criminal activity.
