Though the more important regular-season schedule has yet to surface, the Green Bay Packers now know their dates for the 2016 preseason. That includes an exhibition with the Indianapolis Colts during the Hall of Fame game to kick off the preseason.

While most teams only have four preseason games to contend with, Brett Favre's induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame has resulted in the Packers playing an extra tilt. Teams with a prominent inductee often play in the Hall of Fame game, which Green Bay has not participated in since James Lofton's induction in 2003. After a preseason which saw the wide receiver corps lose Jordy Nelson to an ACL tear and Randall Cobb to a significant shoulder strain, it appears unlikely that the team plans to play the starters for much if any time in Canton. The same likely applies to the Colts, who could opt to give new backup quarterback Scott Tolzien a chance to face off against his former team.

Once again, the Packers have a preseason contest with the Kansas City Chiefs. The two teams have played each other during five of the last six preseasons, though they did not face off last year until the regular season.. Green Bay plays the San Francisco 49ers in their second-to-last preseason game, generally treated as the "dress rehearsal" for the regular season.

The Packers' full preseason schedule is included below:
