The 2016 Green Bay Packers take the field for the first time as a team today in the first open practice of Organized Team Activities. After holding a closed practice on Monday, they will be working outdoors on Ray Nitschke Field starting at 11:30 AM Central this morning, and fans are welcome to attend.
After a scheduled off day Wednesday, the team will be back inside on Thursday for their final practice of the week.
During OTAs, the team is allowed to practice together and to work on full drills, including everything from individual work to full team periods. Although the players will be in helmets, no pads are allowed and tackling is not allowed.
