The Green Bay Packers take to the field again today for their second day of “mandatory" minicamp, which also serves as the penultimate practice of the spring. If the rain indeed has broken up by the time practice begins at 11:30 AM, the team should be able to work outside at Ray Nitschke Field and in front of the public.
For the first time this spring, Acme Packing Company will have a presence at an open practice, as Tex Western will be tweeting from practice from the APC account. Follow along with us below and on our Instagram feed as well.
Later this evening, Tex will hop on the APC podcast with Zach Rapport and Alex Petakas to discuss impressions from practice, so keep an eye out for that edition which should be posted on Thursday morning.
In case you missed the news yesterday, the reason for the quotation marks around the word mandatory in the first paragraph is due to the team dismissing its longest-tenured veterans from camp prior to Tuesday’s practice. Players with six or more years of experience were allowed to go home a week before the rest of the team, in part due to the team starting training camp a week early thanks to the Hall of Fame Game.
Without further ado, let’s get to the tweeting!
