After flying into Cleveland last weekend with the intent of playing their preseason opener in Canton, Ohio at the Hall of Fame Game, the Green Bay Packers finally will get their preseason schedule started this weekend. Their guests will be taking the round trip from Cleveland as well, just in the opposite direction.
This year’s Browns have a new front office, a new head coach in Hue Jackson, and a new starting quarterback in Robert Griffin III. They also have a rookie and a Wisconsin native making his homecoming, as linebacker Joe Schobert will play his first NFL snaps in Lambeau Field.
For the Packers, it appears that Aaron Rodgers and Brett Hundley will indeed not play, with Rodgers getting the night off for precautionary reasons while Hundley is working through an ankle injury.
Here’s your Game Primer with all the details you need to get ready for the actual start of the preseason.
