Tonight, the Green Bay Packers resume their preseason schedule as they host the Oakland Raiders at Lambeau Field. With a healthy Brett Hundley back on the field throughout the week at practice, the offense should have a boost over last week when undrafted rookie Joe Callahan started the game under center. However, signs point to Aaron Rodgers sitting out once again this evening as he and other Packers veterans await the start of the regular season.

Another player who is likely not going to play is wide receiver Jordy Nelson, despite his reactivation from the PUP list on Wednesday. Combined with Jeff Janis’ hand injury, this means that the Packers’ top receiving group will consist of Randall Cobb, Davante Adams, Jared Abbrederis, and Ty Montgomery.

As always, the focus will be on player evaluation and development for the team’s young players, and the same should be true on the Raiders’ sideline.
