The Green Bay Packers take to Ray Nitschke Field around mid-day today for their second and final open practice of the week. The team will practice one more time on Thursday, conducting a walkthrough before flying to California for Friday’s preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Yesterday, Jordy Nelson did some individual work but was not participating in team drills. Hopefully his workload will continue to increase gradually over the next two weeks so he is fully in game shape by week one.
On Monday, Tim Masthay did all the punting in a shakeup of the style of competition between him and rookie Peter Mortell. Today, however, Mortell will kick all day, while Masthay will take it easy. Hopefully the weather conditions will be similar today for Mortell, as Masthay had the benefit of a nice wind from his back.
Today’s practice begins at 11:45 AM Central. Tune in below for updates and join us in the comments to discuss.
