Green Bay Packers guard Josh Sitton has finally become one of the most-respected guards in football. After years of superb play, Sitton finally broke through with a Pro Bowl appearance in 2013, and has followed it up with two more to make it three straight years.
Sitton’s pass-blocking is second to none on the interior of any offensive line, making him a perfect lineman for the Packers’ pass-heavy offense.
At least, that’s the Josh Sitton who suits up in Green and Gold. There is a new Josh Sitton in the NFC North, one who is significantly less mobile and has less impressive skills than the real one:
I guess if the Lions can’t actually beat him in a game, at least they can feel good beating him in practice. If anything, though, this should be viewed as a sign of respect; after all, you don’t see opposing teams putting the names of mediocre players on their sleds to motivate them.
(H/T to @jrehor for pointing this out.)
