Week 2 NFL Picks: Packers over Vikings in US Bank Stadium opener

APC’s consensus opinion has Green Bay emerging victorious on Sunday Night.

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

With week two beginning this evening with Jets-Bills on Thursday Night Football, it’s time again for APC’s writers’ picks.

This week, we have a couple of additions to the writing roster. Jon Meerdink and Gary Zilavy (Gzil) have joined us from thepowersweep.com, and they are giving us their picks moving forward. In addition, Paul Noonan is back in the picks competition after a one-week break last week.

In our selections for this week, we find that the writing staff as a whole is confident in the Green Bay Packers’ ability to go into Minnesota and emerge with a victory over the Vikings. Opening game at U.S. Bank Stadium be damned - we’re feeling good about the Packers’ ability to take advantage of a Vikings secondary that will be missing Xavier Rhodes and the Green Bay defense containing Adrian Peterson.

Here are our picks for Week 2’s contests.

In results from last week, Kris and Ben led the way with 12-4 records, There’s a logjam at 11-5, while Tex fell victim to a little bit of Browns optimism and finished 10-6. Zach brings up the rear at 9-7.

Also, don’t forget to make your picks in the APC readers’ picks pool and make a pick below to see how our predictions stack up against those of Vikings fans.
