This afternoon, the Green Bay Packers and NFL teams around the country begin the next step of the roster-building process following Saturday’s cut-down deadline to reach a 53-man active roster. Sunday’s waiver claim deadline of 12 Noon Eastern is past, and starting at 1 PM Eastern, teams can start signing eligible players to their practice squads if those players have become free agents.
We at APC will be closely following news on the waiver wire of players whom the Packers sign to the practice squad, as well as any players released by the team over the weekend who have been signed by other teams. Stay tuned throughout the day today and we will do our best to bring you all the information as soon as it is announced.
On Saturday, two players were mentioned as being told that the Packers would like to bring them back on the practice squad: wide receiver Geronimo Allison and defensive tackle Brian Price. If neither is claimed by another team, expect them to be among the first to land back on their feet with Green Bay.
