Aaron Rodgers threw another successful Hail Mary pass in Sunday’s Wild Card game against the New York Giants, his third in under a season and a half of football. Rodgers and his receivers have made that play into an art form, and Green Bay Packers fans can be forgiven if they assume that any such attempt will be completed from now on.
But betting on it?
That’s now something that you can do. Thanks to the folks at SportsBetting Dime, we have odds on whether or not Rodgers completes a Hail Mary in this week’s Divisional Playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. Those odds are 85:1.
Of course, that is hardly the only prop bet available for action. You can bet on Rodgers throwing zero interceptions on Sunday, with odds at a strong 3:5. You can even bet on whether any of the eight kickers in action this weekend will miss a game-winning kick in the final minute of the game -- Mason Crosby gets the second-longest odds at 8:1, with only Dallas’ Dan Bailey longer at 9:1.
Then there are other “fun” bets about the telecasts of these contests. You can get 3:1 odds that Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will discuss the midseason rumors that Mike McCarthy was on the hot seat, or 5:2 action on Tony Romo’s statement that Dak Prescott deserves to be the starting quarterback in Dallas.
It’s not quite the extensive prop bet action that you can get on the Super Bowl, but it’s starting early.
And think about it. If you put down 5 bucks and Rodgers throws a Hail Mary, that’s over $400 in winnings. That’s not bad.
