Packers vs. Cowboys Inactives: Quinten Rollins out, Jeff Janis in for Divisional Playoffs

New, comments

The Packers’ second-year corner has not fully completed the concussion protocol and will sit out a second straight game.

The Green Bay Packers will miss a handful of key players today as they match up with the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Divisional Playoffs. The big name that everyone already knew would be inactive is wide receiver Jordy Nelson, who was injured in last week’s game against the New York Giants and was ruled out on Friday.

Joining Nelson on the shelf for today’s game will be cornerback Quinten Rollins, who was trying to return to the field after suffering a concussion two weeks ago in Detroit. Rollins practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday and Thursday, but ultimately was ruled out this afternoon when he was listed on the inactive list.

One of the key special teams players (and a player slated to get more snaps on offense due to Nelson’s absence) is Jeff Janis, who landed on the injury report as questionable with a quad injury. Thankfully, Janis is active and will play, giving a boost to the punt coverage and kickoff return teams.
