When the week began, the Green Bay Packers did not know if any of their top-four wide receivers besides Randall Cobb would suit up for the NFC Championship Game. However, despite little practice time for the injured wideouts, Jordy Nelson, Davante Adams, and Geronimo Allison avoided the inactive list for Sunday's matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.
Nelson has not played since absorbing a blow to the midsection that broke multiple ribs during the Packers' wild-card game against the New York Giants. The team has outfitted him with a Kevlar flak jacket to protect him against further injury. Meanwhile, Adams and Allison plan to play despite a sprained ankle and hamstring suffered during last weekend's victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
Green Bay's inactives included no other surprises. Running back James Starks remains sidelined with a concussion, and the team elected to leave newly signed receiver Max McCaffrey in street clothes after learning it would have Nelson, Adams, and Allison available. Corberback Quinten Rollins does return today to help defend the slot.
