After a four-game absence, left tackle David Bakhtiari makes his return Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. However, starting cornerback Kevin King will miss the game due to the lingering effects of the concussion he suffered last week.
Bakhtiari, who suffered a hamstring injury during the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks, left a void at that forced the Green Bay Packers to make considerable adjustments including shifting guard Lane Taylor outside to tackle. Now, Bakhtiari can return to his customary spot protecting Aaron Rodgers' blindside with Taylor once again playing inside. With Bryan Bulaga also back in the lineup, Green Bay will feature its five preferred starters along the offensive line for the first time this season.
The news looks less positive in the defensive backfield. In addition to King's absence, starting cornerback Davon House will miss the game against the Vikings. Safety Morgan Burnett will also spend Sunday on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. That leaves the Packers without their top two boundary corners, forcing Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollins into bigger roles.
