Lane Taylor Injury: Packers guard carted off with a knee/ankle injury

The offensive lineman is questionable to return

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

The hits keep on coming for the Green Bay Packers’ offense.

After losing quarterback Aaron Rodgers to shoulder injury, guard Lane Taylor was carted off to the locker room with an apparent knee injury. Taylor’s leg was rolled up on by quarterback Brett Hundley. He is questionable to return with a knee/ankle injury.

Taylor has been vital for the Packers, who have been without at least one of their starting left tackles all season until today. Taylor even started at left tackle twice, against the Bears two weeks ago and the Cowboys last Sunday, and held his own.

The Packers cannot afford to lose any offensive linemen with the inexperienced Hundley at quarterback. The Vikings will likely stack the box and force Hundley to make throws with Rodgers out. That means he will need time to throw and losing starting offensive linemen will not help achieve that.

Justin McCray is in at left guard in Taylor’s place.
