College Football Schedule, Week 9: Ohio State-Penn State leads strong afternoon

Usually, college football schedules its biggest games of the week for the evening. This week, with temperatures starting to drop, we’re seeing more and more big games shift earlier from prime time into the mid-afternoon time slot.

That’s the case with Ohio State-Penn State, a matchup of top ten teams in the Big Ten East. These two top squads will square off at 3:30 Eastern with the winner being in the driver’s seat for a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis.

Meanwhile, there are two other games between ranked teams in the same time slot. TCU plays 25th-ranked Iowa State, but the big alternate game is Notre Dame hosting NC State.

ESPN’s College Gameday plus BTN’s and FOX’s pregame shows are all in Columbus for the day’s big game, so tune in early to preview all of the day’s action.
