The NFL’s trade deadline is looming for teams around the league this week, and with it has come a flurry of activity over the past few days. The deadline was moved back from week six to week eight in 2012, but the 2017 league year appears to be the time that teams are finally starting to make some in-season trades that involve notable players.

As of Tuesday morning, there have been four notable trades involving starter-caliber players, with draft picks being the primary compensation. Arguably the most notable so far is the trade of Patriots backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to the San Francisco 49ers.

The deadline is 4:00 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday, October 31st. Stay tuned here as we update you on any trades that are reported or announced throughout the day.
